Looking back to past Luftgekuhlt weekends, it was an epic one. Of course, I am talking about the event that celebrates air-cooled Porsche's. This event is called Luftgekühlt, which is the fourth event that has been held to date.

Luftgekühlt 4 was held at the port in San Pedro, California. It was a fantastic venue, but unfortunately, the rain has to make an appearance in the early morning. Rain is not a bad thing by any means.

As usual, I got to the event very early, and had to wait to get in. I stood in the rain until it was time to enter... it was alright through. I was able to get some nice panning shots and listen to the amazing air cooled Porsches drive in.

After I checked in and got my ticket scanned and wristband strapped on, I made my way into the venue to see what was around. The lot outside looked like an old shipyard / warehouse. Inside is where all the magic happened.

It was not just the vehicles, but artwork as well, which created a great contrast with the air cooled pieces of art.

Vehicles ranged from early era Porsches, all the way through some La Mans winning cars and even the ultra rare Porsche 959 (And yes, not just one, but two made an appearance).

It was an amazing show of vehicles and am looking forward to the next event!

As I am sitting here getting all my camera gear ready for Luftgekühlt 4, I had to look back at Luftgekühlt III and remember how epic it was.

Luftgekühlt is the creation of two-time Le Mans class winner Patrick Long and Southern California creative director Howie Idelson. Together, these two Porsche fanatics have dreamed up an amazing event and made it a reality.

Luftgekühlt relates to all air-cooled Porsches in the manufacturer’s history, ranging from the Pre-A 356 to the Porsche 993.

This year for Luftgekühlt 4, the sights will be happening in the Port of Los Angeles, Warehouse No 10, 112 E. 22nd Streed San Pedro, California 90731 to be exact.

That is it for now. My next blog will be about Luftgekühlt 4, along with a gallery of images from the day. See you on the other side!

5:00am... I think my alarm clock is going off for work. But then I quickly realize it is only Sunday. And you know what that means, CAR SHOWS!

I quickly get out of bed and get ready as fast as I can. My destination is Malibu, Ca. The drive from where I live is about 86 miles North, or a hour and a half drive. Knowing this, I grab my coffee and then get on the road.

Fast forward through the drive up; there... hit the "play" button. Alright, now I am finally getting to Highway 1 in Santa Monica. I am greeted by two late 70's era Porsche 911's for the remainder of the drive, which was an absolute pleasure to watch and listen to. As we cruise along the coast, I am able to take in some nice deep breaths of fresh morning air and look upon the scenery of the Pacific Ocean with the nice warm tones from the rising sun.

Once I arrive at the final destination, I quickly get out of my car and start making laps around the lot. It is full of amazing vehicles from the 70's and beyond, including lots of Porsches, Mercedes, and Ferraris... which I am all about.

After waking photos for the first 45 minutes or so, a pristine Ferrari F40 made an appearance! I was so excited to see one in such great condition. The Ferrari F40 is still one of my all time favorite cars Ferrari has produced.

And then, a few short minutes later... another Ferrari F40 came out of nowhere, but this time in black.

Anyways, I am sure I can blabber on what showed up and what I looked at... so now I will share a small gallery of my day up in Malibu. Enjoy!
